Acronis’ new ransomware preventer - Active Protection - monitors every change on your system and actually writes to disk as it’s doing so, it appears. And not just a little chump change write activity - we’re talking GBs - gigabytes.
Start running a Cubase project and you’ll get major disk spikes, and CPU spikes.
You gotta go in to the Manage Permission list area and change Cubase to “can modify files” - and not “monitoring”
Active Protection comes built in with the new Acronis True Image 2019, and is enabled by default.
