I bought Cubase 7 from someone and they gave me the USB eLicenser with a Cubase 7 activation on it, the original discs and the original Quick Start Guide book. I was able to use those to install Cubase 7 and register it. However, the seller didn’t appear to include the original activation code paper that I later saw mentioned in the manual. Would I ever need that at this point?
If Cubase is already running on your system no. It’s only for the initial activation. (I recently sold a Cubase license and had checked on this then.)
Maybe you might want to have that data on file at Steinberg so that should you need it, you can log in and have it available, see about establishing it under your name
