Activation Limit Reached

Hi there, In advance sorry for my English! Suddenly I could no longer use Cubase 12 pro. I found out that it was no longer activated: “Activation Limit Reached” Which is very strange because it’s used and activated on exactly three computers: my pc, my laptop and my Macbook, also shown in the product list on my account, including the dates I activated them.
I filled in a support-ticket 4 weeks ago but still no answer! Is there a way to solve this problem without their help?
Thanks, Rob

You are allowed to activate on up to three computers, so you reached that limit.

If you want to activate another machine you need to start the Activation Manager on one of the active machines and deactivate it. That releases one Activation and allows you to activate a new machine.

Sometimes an OS update or hardware replacements change the machine ID generated to identify an activation. In this case, the activation gets orphaned and you usually can’t directly deactivate it on that machine any longer. But there’s a function in your MySteinberg account to release all activations so that you can reactivate them again on 3 machines:

Thank for your reply. I’m not trying to activate it on a fourth computer. Cubase is activated on 3 computers, but I can only use it on two! Cubase on my pc is deactivated… :frowning:

Have you tried to deactivate the license in your MySteinberg account? Afterwards, you should be able to activate it on 3 computers again.

Thanks a lot! Interesting thought, I tried to do so and it worked! I’m back in business on my pc!
