Although the Activation Manager works ok for me, I often need to change accounts as I need to login to studio account, and then back to my personal account. I understand that if I logout from one of those accounts, all software on that account is deactivated, that makes sense. However when I go back to that account (this happens regularly), I have to activate each license separately, at the moment I have 18. Wouldn’t it be possible to have an “Activate ALL” button? With the dongles, I just had two of them inserted, no hassle, Now I have several steps to get there … and activating 18 licenses, one ata. time, is a annoying.
Hi,
Please, add the optional feature-request tag to your post.
If I’m not mistaken, if you just start the application and there is still a seat available, the license becomes activated automatically. So you don’t need to activate it manually.
Thanks Martin! I’ve added the option feature-request. As to the rest of your suggestion, when I open the Activation Manager after changing accounts, all licences are red, awaiting activation. I’ve never seen it activate automatically. I’m only using my software on 1 computer at the moment, so all seats are available.
Hi,
It becomes activated, once you start the application. So, start Cubase and it will become activated.
Sorry Martin, I think I misunderstood your answer. So you are saying that I don’t need to activate anything, just open the application? It seems obvious, but I never thought about that. If that’s the case, we’re good! Thanks
Does this really happen?
Yep. It happens
In the sense that the software will just refuse to run? Or in the sense that’s is like going in SAM and hitting Deactivate for a product? I never had to manually press Activate again for a computer in my possession, that’s why I’m asking.
In the sense that in SAM everything is deactivated. Now I’ve discovered that I don’t need to activate everything manually, SAM will activate automatically the licenses as I need them on opening relevant software.
