Adapting to loss Of Yamaha Studio Manger in DM1000/2000

Hi there, I’m wondering how users of the Yamaha DM1000/2000 desks have adapted following the removal of Studio Manager and OMS from these desks, they did make a damn good control surface. Are there any scripts out there to salvage or is it a matter of staying on Cubendo 12?

We have the DM2000 (love it) and disappointed that Nuendo 13 dropped the Yamaha Studio Manager integration. Yamaha Studio Manage is a separate app in Windows 10 that we now use to save and recall DM2000 templates and settings. The midi control surface aspects of the DM2k still works with N13, though settings are stored separately with Studio Manager App. Some projects still use N12 for convenience of the integration. Any scripts to salvage the integration would be awesome. Haven’t heard of one.

Nuendo is great.

Thanks for your reply, it’s interesting how you’ve adapted, I can understand that Steinberg need to embrace the enhancements that midi 2 will bring to users but to be successful it must be backwards compatible. The DM series of desks have been hugely successful and will be entrenched in a lot of facilities for some time to come, they should have had an option to load the SDK/OMS , it’s really difficult trying to wrap the DM series into the new midi remote, it seems no has managed to create a midi script for it, not even AI searches can find anything atm. Steinberg should have done that as an uodate to the Yamaha/Steinberg midi driver. What options are you using on your DM2000? Mackie/Protools etc and what level of control do you have? I’ve just jabbed my sister old laptop to put studio manager on but not sure if the midi out from that would merge with keyboards and my Lynx and Sonic core audio cards on thier way into cubase !
