I want to make a backup from my old ADAT Tapes to MY pc.
My Audio Gear:
-ADAT XT
-RME Hammerfall 9652
-Babyface (for audio-monitoring)
MY PROBLEMS ARE:
1.)How to Set The RME Hammerfall 9652 TotalMixTOTAL MIX FX
2.)How to Set-Activate All the ASIO-RME Hammerfall 9652 -Inputs/Outputs
Al this because when I try to record the 8 ADAT tracks in Cubase,I don’t receive/record separate the audio tracks!
What I get in Cubase is all the ADAT tracks together…

Why do need a 9652?
Just connect the ADAT out of the XT to the Babyface and set the Babyface to clock source external.
Make a new Cubase Project, set the project sample rate to the same as your ADAT XT.
Under VST Connection (F4) set up 8 mono inputs connected to the Babyface ADAT inputs from 1 to 8.
Create 8 tracks and set them to the mono inputs 1-8.
Set all tracts record enable press record and press play on the XT.

I have big problems with the CUBASE Audio Connections Inputs & Outputs.
What I am doeing?
I want to transport my music arrangements from my ADAT-XT via Adat-Optical cable to my Computer.
Unfortunately My Cubase 9.5 Lite have only 4-5 primitive Tamplates.
But my problem is :I don’t know how to instal the right PRESET in the Cubase Audio Connections-BUS for the INPUT,and of course the right Audio Connections BUS for the OUTPUTS.
Please can you hlp me with the right PRESET-:)?!
I’m not sure but I think Cubase LE does not support multi track recording.
Try it.
Press F4 to open VST connections, add 8 mono audio inputs and assign them to the ADAT inputs of the Babyface.
Close the VST connection window.
In the Arrangement add 8 tracts and assign the mono inputs you created to the 8 tracks.
Now set all tracks to record enable.
If Cubase LE doesn’t support multitrack recording you can down load a Cubase 9.5 Demo version. This works for 30 days.
Enough time to record 100 ADAT tapes.
Very important! to be able to manage and and backup these records you should make one Cubase Project for each tape and set the recording path to that
Project folder. Do not record in to one global folder!
