Add features to VSTLive for Single Person Band Playing

Please made this tool usable for a single person band playing, same like KORG PA series and YAMAHA PRS series etc have done.
So a single player need to only carry a laptop and a MIDI controller with him, the actual MIDI keyboard, can be rented from the place of event.

? Excuse me ( all of us ) using here VL as single person….and loving it
I think the MIDI capabilities with the vMIDI vAudio cables, layers, stacks, automation tracks, sampler track, focus control, etc etc are giving quite endless solutions already

I’m solo too - What makes you think it is not usable? If you’re expecting VL to perform like an arranger keyboard that’s not what it is designed for.

Am coming from YAMAHA PSR background, so am looking for something similar experience otherwise if its a different workflow done in VST Live, VST live team please make some tutorials or demo projects and share.

Can I do the following in VST Live:

Is there a LEFT zone with which I can play the Rhythms (like you play styles in Yamaha PSR keyboards) and the chord changes on LEFT zone should play the rhythm in the pressed chord.

While playing a Rhythm (style) triggered from the LEFT zone, can I just change the RIGHT zone voices on the keyboard without interrupting anything on the LEFT zone.

While playing the Rhythm, pressing a button should do drum rolls, different buttons can do different variations and then come back to the previous rhythm.

With octave +/- press, can i just change the ocatve on the RIGH zone alone
(With transpose this is possible by disabling the transpose on each layers)

Each layer has it’s own zone. They can overlap or not. Each layer has also it’s own transpose (octave and semitones), which you can use or not. All other questions depends on the instrument you assign to the layer. Groove Agent should do the drum rolls, but I never used it.

I found the software which i was looking for, its called Giglad

Another solo here.

I’m glad you found a solution and will not ask those features to be implemented in VST Live. We are happy that it generally fits our serious needs for Stage/Gig performances. But for wedding, funeral and similar musical accompaniment you use PSRs and/or Giglad. I saw it is very serious in the niche and very feature rich.

Probably you wouldn’t have asked for such features a year back if you would have read all info on general purpose of VST Live. It’s on Steinberg site, as always.

Best.
