Add reliable and accurate tempo detection!

This would make Cubase perfect for me:

I often record bands without a click, but would like to add other instruments and effects later, thus need the tempo detection feature.

This has been very much rather miss than hit, and I haven’t used it at all lately.

Feature requirements:

  • Accurate detection of individual instruments as well as full mixes
  • Needs to work with MIDI and audio, leaving existing material untouched, no stretching, snapping of anything of any kind without me initiating it. MIDI should behave just like audio.
  • Range-based operation, i.e. I tell it where to apply.
  • Possibly Ai based?

That would make me very happy. In 2025, we shouldn’t have to tap along to the music to tell Cubase where the beats are… :smiling_face:
