Add velocity variance in midi logical editor

This would be great if we have velocity variance command in logical editor. If it’s already have, please tell me where is it. I would like to do a preset like one click to apply all variance in -5 velo, for example.

Hi,

Add the optional feature-request tag to your post, please.

You are aware you can do that in the inspector?
And there it is non destructive and you can easily experiment with different values.

I would want it to be on some specific notes sometimes. So I can select notes and hit logical editor. Eg. Staccato strings but not the main on beat. If I want to do all notes I know I can do it in Midi fx.

Ah ok that is a sensible request then!

If I understand the request, you can do this. I have several variants for Velocity and Position. You can use whatever values you need.
This varies the Velocity by + or - 10:

Thanks, Right now I use this way. Hopefully can add variance for more fun

Then I don’t understand what “velocity variance” means. Hey ho.

I think, he wants some random variation within a certain range!?

What I posted does just that, but the OP says he already does that, so I don’t know.

It’s new in C14, add the value to random everytime in velocity range on seleted note. It’s in piano roll in CC lane.

We’re talking about these C14 additions:
