Adding a VST2 synth to Cubase Pro 14

I am setting up a new PC Windows 11 with Cubase Pro 14 and adding all my synths/content etc. I understand Cubase 14 prefers VST3. I have one old synth “Dimension Pro” that was part of my original template file I’ve used over the years. All of my old Cubase files reference this VST2 plugin. I’d like to be able to open my old files without getting error messages. Is there a way for me to copy the old Dimension PRO VST file and copy the patches over and get them to work in Cubase Pro 14?

Hi,
just set up everything as usual and remember the VST2 locations in case they are spread all over the place (VST3 has one dedicated location per default).
Open Studio/Plugin Manager and have look at the very bottom. There’s a tiny box “VST2” which enables VST2 plugins (Cubase 14 does not officially support VST2 anymore). If you are talking about very old 32bit VST2s - they need to be bridged via jBridge and alikes.
To sum it up - basically it’s all about enabling the tiny VST2 box and you are good to go.
