Adding an octave line and clef in piano notation using cross-staff

Hello,

I would like to ask for your guidance on how to add an octave line (1) and clef (2) when writing for piano when using cross-staff (see image). When I try to add them, they appear on the staff where I originally entered the notes.

Allow me to simplify your example to focus on adding the octave line and clef in the lower staff. Start by entering the following in the upper staff:

Select the octave line and the note under it and execute Edit > Paste Special > Duplicate to Staff Below. Select the note in the lower staff in engrave mode, set its Voice column index to zero and activate Starts voice, Ends voice Immediately and Hide stem. Then select the note in the upper staff at the same rhythmic position and press M. Finally, switch to write mode and delete the octave line in the upper staff.

Select the bass clef and execute Edit > Paste Special > Move to Staff Below. Then select the first and last notes in that beam group and press M:

Dear John,

Thank you very much for your guidance. I was able to copy your example using the method you described. Now I need to analyze how I will apply this to my music.

Have a great day!
