Adding audio track to midi project.

I have a midi project with, drums, strings and I want to add guitar and bass tracks. When I add an audio track I can’t route the input for that channel from my card, only options are stereo in = Links and Recht neither of which seem to help. I know I’m probably missing something but what is it?

Can anyone please help.

Add a mono input in VST Connections and assign it to the proper input of you “card” (whatever that might be).
