I’m desperately trying to figure out how to write notation on a middle channel (not a vst channel) so that I can trigger sounds in Logic Pro on my Mac. Any suggestions, thanks!

Enable Logic Pro Virtual Midi I/O
Record MIDI messages from another music app in Logic Pro for Mac - Apple Support (IN). -
In Dorico in the Play tab, under VST and Midi - add the Logic virtual in -
Then back in the track inspector tab, under routing, select that logic pro virtual in instrument.
It works for me! It appears you could do this again for additional tracks using different midi channels, which you’ll have to configure in both Logic and Dorico on the respective tracks. I have not tested this thoroughly however, so I cannot speak to potential issues like latency or sync, but hope that helps.
Wing, thank you so much!!!
I’ve been wrestling with this for weeks and feel so relieved now 2 others in my group send their thanks as well!
