Adding multiple tracks with ascending inputs

I’m coming from Logic Pro where I’m used to adding multiple audio tracks with ascending inputs. So for instance I 'm using 8 mics on drums and I need input 9-16 for it. In logic I would add 8 tracks, then select input 9 for the first one and click ‘ascending channels’ and I would have my tracks with my inputs. Is something like that possible in Cubase? I’m running Cubase 13 Pro.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

  • Add 3 Audio Tracks (all will get the same input).
  • Open MixConsole.
  • Select the given 3 Audio Track.
  • Open Routing Tab.
  • Click to the 1st one on the Routing > Input.
  • Hold down Shift + Ctrl/Cmd and click to the 1st input from the line, you want to use (for example Mono In 1).

=> All the other tracks will get the incremental inputs (mono In 2, Mono In 3).

Thanks! Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to work. It just changes the first channel. Maybe I’m misinterpreting what you say. I did find that Shift+option allows me to set all selected channels to the same input. That is nice to know. But no ascending inputs

Hi,

Sorry, it’s just Shift.

Shift+Alt/Opt: Sets all channels to the same Input.
Shift: Sets incremental Inputs/Outputs.
