Adjust the thickness of the joint line

Could you make number 1 in the picture bold? Thank you.

You can change the default barline to thick

For an individual barline, you can select it and then shift-B thick

For the bracket you could use these settings in Engraving Options

You could add a bracket in Engrave mode, and set Engraving Options like below.

You could use both this Notation option

And tweak the Engraving option for double bar (provided you don’t need to use one in the piece) :

Which will get you there :

(Probably not a very good solution, as double barlines are quite useful…)

What would solve your problem is a third option in Notation options, with Thick barline :person_shrugging:

Thank you. It worked out well thanks to you.

The method you described only applies to flow 1. Can you make it apply to all flows?

Thank you all for your kind explanations. I can only choose one, so I can’t help it. Thank you.

I want to follow the method you explained, but it doesn’t work well. I’m using Dorico Pro 5.

The square boxes in this photo are invisible to me.

It’s a new feature in Dorico 6, that’s why.

I see. I understand.

Select the wanted flows here

This method only works on dorico 6, right?

You can change the default barline type in Dorico 5 too

The possibility to change the barline of the first system seems to be a Dorico 6 feature
