Advice on whether to switch from Nuendo to Cubase

hey all

Been a long time Logic user and last year switched to Win all together since game audio is primarily on Win.
And picked Nuendo as my new DAW of choice with the aim of being the one go to solution for both sound design and composition, given how it’s marketed.

After 8 months I’m honestly not super satisfied with Nuendo’s extra features (or simply I don’t need them, such as dialogue, all the purely film-linear media related ones) and some of the tasks always require 2-3-4 extra clicks to be achiedeved, at least compared to Logic.
I’m aware that Reaper is just getting better and better on this regard as years go by. And I’ve seen the marketed game audio features in N13 and they look pretty basic to me.
I keep thinking that switching to Cubase and use it for music composition (which I’m really enjoying) and do all my sound design tasks on Reaper, could be a more efficient choice in the long run. (I own both anyway)

But I’d love to know your brief thoughts.
And most of all wait for N14 to drop and see what they’ve added-improved for game audio and sound design specifically.

Hi Coro,
I think your post makes a lot of sense for the kind of work you do. Right now I’m only mixing music in Dolby Atmos but still prefer to stay on Nuendo. I’m on Win 11 too.
As far as taking 2 or 3 clicks, a little time invested into Key Command Macros and/or the Project Logical Editor might be a benefit, they are quite powerful.
