AI Voice App

I´m new to the idea of AI voice apps, and know little about it. Though, since my own singing voice has its limitations, I really would like the idea of an app/plugin where I could generate some kind of AI voice to my songs. Perhaps by using my own recordings as a prompt, or in any other way be able to describe how I want the melody etc. If anyone has a suggestion or recommendation I would be very grateful!

They are starting to proliferate, but are often subscription based and processed offsite.

IK Multimedia has just announced ReSing, which runs locally and has a perpetual license. Early reviews on Gearspace seem OK. I think it depends a lot on your expectations, genre, etc.

dreamtonics synthesizer v2

Chris Selim did a really good YouTube on it working within Cubase a couple of months back.

Looks great

Thanks!

I’ve been using Sonarworks Sound ID Voice AI. Quite effective at doing what you’re looking for. Give it a look.

Seems like these keep popping up lately, here´s another one

VocalNet - Clone & Transform Voices in Real-Time | Session Loops

That’s what I use, Dreamtonics. Results depend on the voice, some are great, others not so much

SynthesizerV from Dreamtonics is fantastic

@DersanP if you are looking for a way to generate vocies from nothing then Synth V is excellent and I’d 100% recommend it. Some of the other suggestions on here (SoundID VoiceID as an example) are also excellent pieces of software, but work on the principle of changing a vocal to a different sound, rather than generating a vocal line using MIDI.

Just worth pointing that out before you start testing out the myriad of options currently available.

Thanks!

Hi team - my need is for a classical choir, but all I’ve seen in voice apps is pop music and variants. Can any of them make me sound like Beethoven writing the 9th? (yes, there’s humour in that statement). I want to export XML voices from Dorico and put it all back together in an audio program.

Ludwig van Barton

Have you looked at this one?

I just had a quick look, great sounding choirs but doesn’t appear to handle lyrics the way the AI tools can

I find posts like this incredibly depressing and they want to make me just give up on music altogether.

For me, it’s just a tool. I have 2 alternative options:

  1. Find a local artist. Good luck unless you live in a large metropolitan area.
  2. Go through Vocalizr website, connect, and pay for what you want. I have used it and like it. You can choose from beginners to professional vocalists and the price reflects that.

Both of these will cost you money.

Using AI for now, isn’t like completing a track to stream to the universe. It’s just a tool to get a decent rough demo when very basic vocals are needed to hear how things fit in a mix.

Vocal AI is sprouting all over the universe as mentioned above. Keep in mind all this stuff is very new. The technology is growing exponentially. We are far from the diminishing returns stage.

I’m holding off a bit because I want to wait a few months and watch these developers grow. It’s a bit like buying retail when new tech is released, or waiting a few months for improved performance.

I hear you, but it’s all about demoing a song, not releasing commercially. I used this tool to show a producer what the song could sound like. I then hired a vocalist.
