AirPods Pro and WaveLab Elements 10

Hello,
I tried to use AirPods Pro with WaveLab Elements 10 but after selected the in the Audio Connections when I push play I receive the message that “The audio card output could not be set to this sample rate: 44.100 Hz”.
Do you know that AirPods are not compatible with WaveLab?
are there other configurations to set up?
Thank you in advance.
Joseph

Hi!

I think your AirPods Pro is set to sample rate 48 kHz by default
check if you can set WaveLab to 48 kHz in configuration Audio Device
or in Master Section use Resample set to 44.1 kHz

Hello S-EH.

I tried your suggestion setting up Preferred Sample Rate to 48 kHz but nothing changed.
I didn’t see any other place where to set up sample rate.

Thank you anyway
Joseph

I too have this problem. I was able to fix it by changing the sample rate in the wavelab global master section to 48. Is there any way to change the airpods to 44.1 by themselves?

Hi!

What settings do you have in/under “Playback” in Audio Connections
you should have at least Left and Right channels there like 1 Ch and 2Ch
else I don’t have a clue!

regards S-EH

I think you’re right. Because they’re Bluetooth, which are apparently generally 48khz devices (didn’t know), and the AirPods are fixed, the player (Wavelab) must resample to 48khz to use them. At least that’s the drift I get poking around on Reddit, Reaper, JRiver, and Apple discussion. Although there might be another way, I think using the resampler set to 48 khz in the master section as Chris 995 did would probably be the standard way to use the airpods with Wavelab.
