Akai LPK25 device set up

Hi, fairly new to Cubase 5 and was wondering if anyone could help? I’ve just bought an Akai LPK25 midi controller, it shows up in the ‘midi port setup’ in the device setup but it’s not in the drop down list in the ‘midi device manager’.

This is supposed to be a plug and play kind of affair hence me buying it and now I’m a bit stumped! Can anyone tell me how to rectify it, or give me some settings so that I can define it as a new device?

I’m running windows 7 64bit on a Dell Latitude E5510.

Hi Gemma ,

Have you tried ;

  1. Rebooting whilst the LPK is still connected ?
    and /or
  2. Installing http://www.akaipro.com/contentmgr/showdetails.php/id/213769 , followed by 1) above ?
    and /or
  3. Using a different USB port / cable ?

I’d tried rebooting but I’ll do the other steps tonight when I get in and let you know how I get on. Thanks for your pointers.

I’ve tried all the things you suggested but it’s still not showing in the device set up drop down menu. :frowning:
