Altered unisons not working as expected

Hello,

I’m using Dorico Pro 4.3.11 on a PC and having a problem with altered unisons. I would like these to be displayed as a single stem rather than split stem. I head over to Notation Options - Accidentals - Altered Unisons, select all flows in the list on the right, then click “Single Stem” then “Apply”:

But my altered unisons are still showing a split stem.

What am I doing wrong?

A unison above an interval of a second will always draw with a split stem, whether it’s an altered unison or not:

This is because if there were noteheads on both side of a normal (vertical) stem then one of them would collide with the note that is a second away.
