Guys, please add the always on top function for the sampler and mixer. It’s very inconvenient with one screen, pressing f3 all the time to make the mixer appear. It seems that it’s not that hard to do, or am I wrong? Thank you.

because there is no function to fix the mixer on the playlist. If you want to correct something on the playlist, the mixer hides. It is very inconvenient when you work on one screen.

What is the playlist?
Are you sure you talk about Cubase?
Are you aware of the lower zone mixer, editor and sampler?
These are made for single screen users.

To be honest, it’s not convenient for me to work in the lower zone. ALWAYS ON TOP is generally a basic function in any other DAW. Why it was removed is not entirely clear to me. After all, if someone doesn’t need this feature, they can simply turn it off.
This is not true if the window in question is a separated window.
Then it’s the same for all software.
Window management is part of the OS.

It is possible to handle the windows.
But always on top inside Cubase is not helpful in this context. The mixer and editor windows are manageable with the OS tools.
That was a wish from some users for a long time.
Now realized, it is inconvenient for others.
Windows Power Toys can provide the Always On Top functionality.

Not exactly the same: in Cubase, Always on Top windows are “always Alway on Top”. With Windows Power Toys instead, you have to activate Alway on Top every time you open a new (same) window (key command “Windows key”+Ctrl+t).
Like p.gonkarenko, I also would like Alway on Top selectable for every Cubase window.

I just wanted to say that this function is available for the control room and for the browser. Let’s do it for all windows in Cubase? Those who don’t need this function, they simply won’t use it and that’s it.

Also, I’ve just found that, when using PowerToys’ Alway On Top for the editors, the right click toolbox doesn’t work.

Power toys is not a good solution. After launching power toys, other cubase windows start to hang. I need a regular function of pinning a window on top of other windows in cubase. In general, as I wrote earlier, this is a basic function of almost every DAW. Guys, controlroom and browser have this function, I would really like it to appear for other windows in the next updates. Mixer, sampler, editor, etc.
To have the editors and the mixers as independent windows allows you to use the OS window management. That was the wish of many users in the past. Now we have it.

Well, there is no need to change anything in the window system, we are talking about simply having a function to fix a window on top of other windows in Cubase, there is no need to change or delete anything. The photo above shows how this is organized in other DAWs.
