Hi,
After closing Vst Live regularly, I have to restart windows to restart Vst Live.
Any idea how I can fix this?
vst live 1.4.12 /windows 11/ umc 1820

Hi @kyru ,
it happens me when there is a larger amount of data in memory and app and os has to delete/wipe…whatever them. Check task manager if I’m right:
- VSTL open (seen in task manager)
- Close VSTL (foolow in task manager)
- Wait until dissappears from task manager (you should see, reserved memory will be feed up), use search function there if can’t find VST Live application.
- If VSTL surely dissappeared from task manager, try open VSTL again.
Let me know if this is the situation at your side too.
- VSTL open (seen in task manager) ok
- Close VSTL (foolow in task manager) ok
- Wait until dissappears from task manager (you should see, reserved memory will be feed up), use search function there if can’t find VST Live application. no , not disapearing : ended task by myself
- If VSTL surely dissappeared from task manager, try open VSTL again.
Let me know if this is the situation at your side too.

wait more… 10sec, 20sec… wait until it shrinks reserved memory to near zero and will disappear.
BUT: did is solve basically your problem, can you re-launch VSTL then without restarting WindowsOS now, right?
@fkalmus Your description is correct. If VST live crashes or I just want to restart. Waiting 20-30sec is a must. And this is probably because Windows is still release the reserved memory in the background.
Hallo,
for my case, i had to restart vstl and i’ve waited for 10 minutes.
