Thank you for listening guys. I am still exploring the ambient music and enjoying it very much. I am still active as a hammond player in bands and enjoy that also, but creating these soundscapes, letting go of playing a lot of notes and focussing on listening much deeper to sound as it evolves in time is very rewarding. The technology is helping a lot , delays, reverbs, generative loops and the sculpting of samples and mixing choices are endless. Also it is very relaxing to work with it and i am exploring the ways to perform it live. It will be different every time and an experiment with listening to it on headphones ( wireless) on a festival worked out fine until someone pulled the powerplug by accident …
ambient music is a niche in the industry that has grown to a high level musical skill, some of the well known artists have high standard productions. The less is more rule is not the only way to work by.
