When using “bounce selection” from the menu and the bounce is done there should be another option that says “add as a new lane” or something like that meaning:it will not REPLACE the current segment and will not PLACE the bounced file in the audio folder for the user to drag in the project, but rather make the 2nd option more comfortable and place the bounced file as a new lane under the original pre-bounce audio segments.
Hmm. I guess that could be incorporated with track versions?
For now, you could always duplicate track version and bounce selection? I’m guessing you are comping vocals/instruments and want multiple master comp takes?
Pro Tools has a more elegant solution with playlists for this.
