Hi,
So whenever I launch Cubase I keep getting this annoying message telling me a new audio driver was found.
I always pick my apogee symphony desktop but every time I launch Cubase again the send message pops again and automatically Marks the OWC thunderbolt 3 dock for some reason.
I spoke with OWC and they do not know the answer for this issue, it seems to be a Cubase problem because osx catalina does not have this issue that cubase have.
Needless to say I do not physically reconnect or disconnect anything to my system to prop this message it just pops up automatically whenever I load cubase.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
Does Cubase quits properly? Or does it (silently) crash while quit? Can you see any .crash/.ips files?
Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
The issue can happen even if I just turned on my mac in the morning.
It can also happen after a crash.
It happens regardless.
Hi,
The question is, if Cubase stores the preferences while quit. If it crashes (silently) instead of regular quit, it cannot store the preferences, therefore your choice has not been stored and you have to set it up again during the next start.
Iām guessing QBase stores those options as soon as you click OK after choosing them.
Regardless it happens whether it crashes or closes normally.
Going through this for him I have found several threads regarding this issue.
No solution in sight.
Ok, can you try starting cubase without actually loading a project, choose your drivers and when it is open just quit. Then try starting it again, do you still get the drivers dialog?
I have this too. I suspect it it to do with the thunderbolt connected displays showing up with unique identifiers at each boot up of the Mac.
I have gotten used to it. Does it EVERY SINGLE TIME on first launch of a Mac boot session. Basically, restart the Mac and you will get this message when launching Nuendo or cubase
