We should be able to write macros as simple TXT (or XML) files. So people can easily share macros without the totally tedious current process.
How long have I been asking for this? Fifteen years? Stupidissimo.

It would not necessarily have to be a human-editable file format if such would present pitfalls. A simple export/import macro capability would allow for sharing as well and it wouldn’t matter what the file type/format was to the users doing the sharing.
