Annual Request: Load Track Settings From Other Types

One should be able to Import a single channel preset to a Group channel or an FX channel. And vice versa.

  1. I come up with a complex channel (inserts, sends, eq) and save the preset.

  2. Would then like to make that a template for an FX or Group track.

…but you can’t of course, because each track preset can only breed with its own type.

This sucks because one of the most common occurrences is that I have 3-4 individual tracks each with the same settings (eg. background vocals) that I then realise can be ‘condensed’ by routing to a Group. Currently a real time-waster.
