I know there are tons of topics on here about stuttering audio during playback, but…
I’ve literally tried everything suggested in those posts, and it’s still not fixed:
- Updated audio interface driver
- Unplugged usb to interface and tried it in a new port
- Updated Cubase to latest verison
- I activated ASIO guard
- The audio performance meter in Cubase is not spiking, or even close
- CPU, Disk and Memory do not spike on Windows when I’m recording or listening back
- Updated Windows and all drivers
- Increased the buffer size
- Changed cables for my mic and guitar
The thing is, it’s recorded great for years - version to version - never had a problem.
Literally overnight, it just started acting up. Even with 1 track of audio and no plug-ins.
I was using 8+ tracks and 3 plug-ins on each channel, routinely up until about a week ago.
I will play a recorded audio or vst track and it will play for for 20 seconds then goes dead silent for a second or 2, then starts again. It seems to be intermittent (goes silent at different times during playback)
Maybe it’s a Windows update problem, maybe my interface.
Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks
(Windows 11, Cubase 15.0.05)
