Is there any point of actually login a bug (report) for a bug that has existed for so many years… 
clearly they know ambisonics wave files exported from Nuendo/Cubase crash wavelab and are not not working on fixing it. At least not for the last 4 years. 
If there is a point in submitting a bug, what is the best way to go about it?
For WaveLab, the best thing to do is to post the crash report here, along with as much info as you can about your system and how to reproduce the crash.
if the crash is caused by a specific plugin, usually this has to be fixed by the plugin developer and not by PG/WaveLab but there have been some exceptions to that.
Ambisonic files will be supported in the future.
