Any way to drag events and see the waveform?

Hej, when I import audio into a session, select all the tracks and drag them around, Cubase isn’t showing the waveform while doing so. After selecting more than 20 tracks it’s just a rectangle without any waveform.

That’s not very helpful when trying to align something visually to the grid.

Is there a way to make Cubase show the waveforms?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Yes, there is this kind of limit due to performance. As far as I know, there is no way to disable this limit.

Really strange. I’m coming from Logic and Pro Tools. No limit there. You can see the waveformas while dragging all the regions in a song.

As far as I remember the limit is 20 objects.

I think that’s correct. But what I don’t understand: Why is there a limit? Computers are so fast and should be capable of showing a few before calculated waveforms.

I don’t understand how you align a big session with many tracks while dragging this way?
