Hi, in the image, it shows how I disable the velocity on my MIDI controller, and it is rather cumbersome process when you have lots of instrument tracks. Is there any way to either disable velocity somewhere else that applies universally or a way to maybe set a hotkey or script to automatically apply this MIDI modifier with the range parameters set? Thank you, sorry if this is a silly question, I’m still learning.
EDIT: Never mind, I can’t see Velocity here.
It’s been 20 years since I used hardware with Cubase but what about:
Most MIDI controller keyboards have a way to (“disable”) set a fixed velocity.
I have not done it myself, but I think this should be doable with the “Transformer” plugin, which has the advantage of saving and recalling presets.
I think a MIDI Logical Editor preset would be a good fit here. It should be possible to create a preset that sets velocity to a fixed value. You could then assign a Key Command to that LE preset if desired.
Sure, though there’s already the MIDI→Functions→Fixed Velocity. This of course needs MIDI parts to be selected.
Yes, from the menu Project→Project Input Transformer, if we want it to apply universally. The “problem” with this approach is that it will filter independently of the MIDI Port, so if we have another keyboard for which we want to keep the velocity received, we’ll run into the issue of having first to deactivate the preset. Not a big thing though.
This would be my first check too ![]()
