Any way to Step Input Audio ?

I would like to play a single, sweeping D Chord on Guitar …That would have a long tail . This way the sound will be the most ‘Pure’ and I can really clamp down on the fretboard. Then next I would record the guitar , while playing A Sweeping A or G Chord …etc. Perhaps include a chord track ? Or Not. I love step input for midi … can it be somehow done with Audio .

Any way to accomplish this goal

No, this is not possible with Audio. But maybe Punch In feature (way of recording) could help?
