Is there a way to turn off the “update results” scan that goes on every time we go to select a preset from a Steinberg Plugin?
I’m referring to the little square cube/box animation. I don’t care about the animation…I just want to not have Cubase 11 constantly looking for new presets.

The update doesn’t happen anytime you select a new preset within the window. It appears every time s you open this (MediaBay) window.
MediaBay doesn’t scan for a new presets. It just gives you the result of the filter.
