Anyone else seeing slower plugin GUI loading after the update?
I’ve noticed that with some plugins, the new update causes a short hang when opening the GUI. Ozone plugins, for example, used to pop open almost instantly for me, and now they take a noticeable pause before appearing.
Curious if anyone else is experiencing this slowdown?
I’m on macOS Sonoma (latest).
Actually not a short hang, with some plugins I get spinning wheel for about 10 seconds (I’m on a M2 Ultra).
Yes, same here Ozone 12 in Cubase 14.0.40 Pro. Ozone GUI is just spinning.
This was not the case before update?
I’m on Mac Mini 4 Pro with Sequoia 15.7.1
I initially thought it started with the 0.40 update since that’s when I first noticed it (though it might just have been coincidence). I got in touch with iZotope support and ran a few extra tests — turns out the AAX version in Pro Tools behaves the same way on my system, so maybe it wasn’t the 0.40 update after all.
If you have a moment, could you report this to iZotope as well? It might help them prioritize the issue if more users are seeing it.

P.S. I’ve seen a few users on the Nuendo forum mention GUI loading issues too — not sure what it’s related to, but interesting that others are encountering this as well.
My SSL plug-Ins are now taking longer to see the GUI after the 14.0.4 update. Windows 11.
This fixed it for me! Very happy!
That difference is more noticeable between 14 and 15. 14 is noticeably faster and snappier.
