Do the M1 and M2 Apple chips based around TB3/4 allow the AXR4T to work or have they made the interface obsolete for those computers.

Currently using my AXR4 T on my 2020 Intel iMac with TB3 ports via using the Apple TB2 to TB3 adapter.
I assumed this process would work with the Mac Studio which use Thunderbolt ports based on the USB-C connector.
However the M1 and M2 Mac studios I believe are Thunderbolt 4 internally.
So even though the TB2 to TB3 adapter still fits will it allow the Interface to work?.
Anyone using a Mac Studio M1 or M2 with an AXR4 T?
