Anyone with an M4 Pro Mac mini?

I just ordered one (64 gig of RAM, 4 Tb SSD), and I was wondering what kind of performance you were getting with Dorico and Noteperformer NPPEs? Thanks.

Mike

Nice, I think I’ll get a pro with 48GB and 2TB then use external thunderbolt disks also. Sorry no help.
What monitor will you use? I’m thinking the new DELL U2725QE

I don’t have any benchmark numbers, but I can say from my experience that I have had no trouble on my M4 pro Mac mini running Dorico and Noteperformer, or any other apps so far (logic, cubase, spectral layers, etc). I only got a 1 TB drive, but that shouldn’t affect overall performance.

I just got an M4 64 gig like yours.

I use NPPE and spitfire libraries (BBCSO and SSO)

it is FLAWLWESS. Runs fast not a problem so far.

Youre going to love it!!!

Hi guys,

I’m glad you love your minis and have had no problem with Dorico and Noteperformer. For a monitor, I have a wide 27" Dell that I run in portrait mode, so that I can fit most of the score from top to bottom, depending upon the zoom setting. I compose in Galley view most of the time. The monitor currently costs around $279 at Microcenter.
