I’d like to use one of the new gigabyte boards with thunderbolt now that windows officially supports thunderbolt. Can any one shed any light on this, it would be greatly appreciated. 
Maybe this has changed recently, but as far as I’m aware Apollo interfaces only have drivers on Mac?
I’ve just built a machine around the Z170-HD3P and although it has a connector for TB, apparently it’s an additional PCIe card that’s required and the connector is just for power – and I haven’t been able to source the PCIe card anywhere yet. So very bleeding edge still, and I wouldn’t hold my breath for driver support. On this board, the USB 3.1 seems more promising.
