Apple AUv3 plugins

Are Apple AUv3 plugins accessible within Cubasis? I know they are installed on my iPad, and my other audio programs can access them, but it seems impossible to access and use them in Cubasis. I am able to use effects of other 3rd party plugins and also Cubasis own plugins, but not the Apple ones. Maybe I am missing something?

It’s up to the host/app developer (In this case the @LSlowak and the Cubasis team) to either show or hide the ‘built-in’ Apple AUv3’s.

Some people like them some don’t so it’s a good idea to make their visibility optional as they can take up quite a chunk of the plug-in lists unless a expandable/collapsable ‘per developer plug-in folders’ are added into the plug-in browser making it possible to hide/show plug-ins from selected developers.

It has to be said that the built-in Apple AUV3’s have been pretty shaky under previous iOS/iPadOS versions (Some also lacked proper UIs until iPadOS18 dropped).

Starting with iPadOS18 many of them have a more polished UI and can be considered relatively ‘stable’. In prior iPadOS version they are pretty ‘shaky’ and many developers opted to NOT show them.

So if they are to be enabled in Cubasis it would be good idea to only do it when Cubasis is running under iPadOS18+…

Yes, they are now visible in Cubasis 3.7!

CORRECTION: Wrong Host app. Apple AUs are now visible in AUM, not Cubasis 3.

I can’t see any of the Apple AUv3s like the AUDynamicsProcessor in Cubasis 3.7…

Thank you, Sam! You’re right.

I was thinking of AUM, not Cubasis 3. I never saw Apple AUs in AUM before all the latest revisions.
