Apple Pencil Input Not Processed Properly in Cubasis 3.8.3 (and 3.8.2)

Today I noticed something odd with Cubasis. It wouldn’t accept any of my Apple Pencil inputs when editing notes in the piano roll. Has anyone noticed this?

I tried the following things:

  1. restarting the ipad
  2. testing in other apps (works flawlessly in AUM + Atom Piano Roll)
  3. updating Cubasis to newest version

Here’s a video of it in action. The note just snaps back into its original position:

Doing it with the finger works as it should. Something is clearly off with the processing of Apple Pencil inputs. And it’s been broken before the most recent update. Please fix!

This is very strange behaviour, but this is not happening on my iPad Air 4 or 13” Air M2, I am using a third party ePencil instead of a Apple Pencil, hopefully a fix can be found.

You need to turn off hover in the settings. It’s very frustrating

This fixed it! However, I should not need to disable hover - this will inadvertedly break other things. I hope the Cubasis devs will be able to solve this issue.

This is a Qt issue similar to the Android mouse bug in January. We’re waiting for a fix, but can’t promise a timeline. For now (as kindly suggested by @Matthew_D already), please disable Hover in Cubasis.
