ARA 2 WaveLab 13

Any idea what I can do about this? It doesn’t work in WaveLab Go, and annoyingly not even in WaveLab 13 via ARA 2 — which I was really hoping for. Any suggestions?

Nuendo 15, Windows 11

Thanks in advance

To use WaveLab as an ARA Extension, you need to have installed WaveLab Pro (and activated the Pro license).
If you are seeing WaveLab Go on your machine, it means that the Pro license has not been activated on that machine.

First of all, thank you for your reply. However, I’m not quite sure I understand — in that case, how am I use my licensed copy of WaveLab 13 pro? It feels like there might be something else.

In my installation of Nuendo 15 I can open Wavelab Go via extensions.
Also in the Nuendo 15 startup screen I can see that the ARA engine scans Wavelab.

I don’t have a Wavelab 13 license…

Have you tried installing the Wavelab version that is in the Nuendo 15 section of the download manager?

Yes, I clicked “install” again — the result is negative.

Open the Steinberg Activation Manager and check that you see this:

I use it as a standalone every day, so I don’t think that could be the problem.

Run wavelab go once after install.

Strange. I’m on Win 11 too but I did not have Wavelab installed previously and it does show up in ARA as expected.

Ah, if only… It just won’t close

Looks like I need a clean reinstall + registry cleanup. Maybe the trial version broke something?
