Saved extensive project yesterday evening with 15.0.10. Today I’ve updated to 15.0.20 and upon loading, Cubase simply closes again. No error msg, nothing. Funny is that I can load the project into Cubase 14. I saved it as a new version from within 14 without problems, but the new version still won’t load into 15.0.20. Other projects load into 15.0.20, only this one not. Difference could possibly be an ARA plugin (Waves sync) not yet printed into file… Anyone had this issue too?
I now managed to load the project into 15.0.20 as follows: Opened with 14; exported as project backup to new folder; made ARA extensions permanent; closed. It now loaded into 15.0.20, so it seems to have something to do with non-permanend ARA extensions.
Next test: I’ve opened the project with 14 and deleted the Waves Sync ARA extension from the 3 vox channels it was synchronizing and saved the project. Next I opened the project in 15.0.20 without problems. I tried to add the ARA extension to sync the 3 vox channels in 15.0.20 and immediately Cubased crashed. Since Waves Sync works without any problems in 14 and also in 15.0.10, it strongly seems that 15.0.20 has an ARA issue.
Rolled back to 15.0.10 and everything’s running fine again, even with ARA not printed to file.
