I noticed there is an upcoming talk about an ARA 3 Preview at ADC 2025 ( Sneak Peak at ARA 3.0 - Audio Developer Conference )
It mentions “a lot of interest has sparked recently to extend ARA to also support audio generators that operate on abstract musical input. Example applications include singing voice synthesizers”
I was wondering if Dorico/Steinberg is also involved in working on ARA3? (To help shape it?)
There is a fair bit of interest on using vocal synthesizers inside Dorico on the forum and even though we all would like to have it working “now” I can imagine that something like ARA3 might be needed to get the “vocal synthesizer” industry in the right direction to have a unified solution. Some standard way of doing this kind of thing that hosts and plugins just implement once (instead of building custom logic for different plugins)
