Hello!
Is there any way to use the Arabic scale in Cubase?
I want to use a plugin with Albanian sounds, but I also want to be able to play using the Arabic scale.
The Micro tuner MIDI insert can tune certain plugins,
so what plugin are you referring to?

Hello!
The plugin I want to use is FM8.
There’s more than just one Arabic scale.

If you just want to sound a bit oriental, try E-F-G#-A-B-C-D-E
That’s from Native Instruments. you would be best to check with their forums about how to acheive.
There are many Steinberg Multi-timbral sounds included with Cubase that would also work.
Did you read other threads in this forum on Arabic Scale Implementation? Like this one
Just play the synth and be creative… Listen to this and be inspired…
I appreciate the answer, but I really need the arabic scale to transcribe an albanian solo which cannot be played without the scale itself.
There are many Arabic modes. Which one do you need?
It would help if the OP was clear about what he wants to achieve.
That is one ****ed up resource. heh. Using a piano keyboard to demonstrate notes in between the keys.
Here’s one made by good Arabic music players, pretty comprehensive.
Show off!
I apologize, I thought I was clear enough about what I’m trying to achieve, but if not, I’ll rephrase:
I own the FM8 VST from Native Instruments, where I have some Albanian/Arabic sound patches.
My goal is to transcribe an Albanian solo that uses the Arabic scale based on A Minor (with the B and E notes detuned).
Is there no tool in Cubase that allows for quick “detune” regardless of the VST I’m using?
I need a way to manually lower/raise a note (within a scale) by a few cents.
There is a micro tuner midi plugin you can use

I apologise for being abrupt.
This is what you should have said in your first post. The first post makes it seem that you “just” want to compose some Arabic-style melodies, rather than to recreate an existing melody.
As @steve says, try the Cubase Micro-Tuner. You might need to look at the manual(!).
It has been mentioned before: the Microtuner is your goto fx in Cubase, it’s the easiest and quickest way. Downside: Not all of Steinberg VST instruments work with it AND it is not supported by 3rd party VST instruments (at least not to my knowledge). So you need to see if Cubase offers you an instrument/sound that works for you. Otherwise have a look at this post. It seems to provide a decent overview whats out there beyond Cubase’s VSTis to get where you want:
