Looking for some advice or suggestions.
I’ve been a Windows user all my life (all of my plug-ins and music related stuff are focused on Windows compatibility.) but because of some upcoming job requirements, i have to get my first laptop and OSX product ( Currently looking at the older models where you can upgrade parts ie. MacBook Pro 15" (Late 2011) Model MD322LL/A.).
I thinking, if im getting my first laptop it would be nice to be able to run my music projects on it as well. If not, i’ll just get a work dedicated used Macbook Air instead.
I want to:
Use this laptop for work (OSX) and music (Win).
Use Boot Camp over Parallels.
Using external drives for my libraries.
I want to know if there are any complications or inconveniences running Cubase on the laptop with Boot Camp (ie plug-in compatibilities, gfx issues, ext. drive issues etc) that i should be aware of before making the purchase.
Any insight will be helpful.
