Are these class compliant USB MIDI devices?

As the title says… are they class compliant?

I’m specifically interestred in the CMC-PD which would make the perfect partner to my Korg Kronos 73 which will accept MIDI over USB as long as the MIDI controller is class compliant. So far, the CMC-PD looks like the only pad controller that will physically fit on my Kronos.

I don’t have a CMC but looking at the manual it seems like the devices need the general Yamaha MIDI driver to work (at least under Windows) so it looks that these controllers are not class compliant.

But you could try it anyway as the Yamaha MIDI devices are usually pretty good supported by the Linux kernel. With a bit of luck Korg has included more drivers in the Kronos than just the bare minimum needed for class compliance.

Unfortunately, Korg have stated the Kronos will only work with class compliant devices. It’s a shame as so far, the CMC-PD looks like the only pad controller that will comfortably fit on a 73 key Kronos.
