This mainly talks about why Avid should be embracing DAWproject:
My bet would be that they will wait and focus on Media Composer interoperability instead. That way they will lock down a bigger part of the market. Anyone with an Avid MC facility will demand PT for ease of use.
I actually dread the day I’ll have to deliver PT mix sessions to clients. Hopefully it won’t come.

They might implement it at some point, but it could take years. It took them 8 years to add PDC when every major DAW in the market already had it for several. Then they added folder tracks and acted like they invented the feature…Which was already present in other DAWs for at least 10 years.
