Artist 9, takes forever to start and then no sound

Ever since upgrading to Mojave on my new iMac, Cubase artist 9 has been taking ages to start up. When it does, I have no sound coming through at all . I have to go to devices, switch to the computers sound card and then switch back to my Tascam US4x4 sound card - even after doing that it takes a few starts to ‘kick in’ and release the sound. What is going on? I want to upgrade to Pro 10 but if I’m struggling so much now, how can I guarantee that I’ll not struggle even more with the upgrade. Who can help with wise words of wisdom?

Hi,

Make sure you have the latest Tascam driver installed, please, same as your plug-ins are up-to-date. Try First Aid from the macOS Disk Utilities, please.

Make sure Cubase has a permission to use the Audio Device.
