Asio driver for Lexicon u82s not working after reset computer

I have a lexicon u82s , I have the driver loaded in the studio setup and audio setup they both say that the u82s is loaded in both places , but when I hit record it says audio driver not running . Is there somewhere else that I need to load it or any other suggestions. it worked fine for years before the reset I just did

the other problem I was having with python, never resolved and so I reset the whole computer . reloaded everything and that got rid of that problem, but its been so long since I set cubase up i cant remember if there was some other issue, the driver and u82 worked flawlessly on the last setup for years , thanks for any help. was not able to get to stienberg support on the phone for three days thats why I reset the computer

also thanks for any help on this

I assume in the reset you chose the option to keep your files and settings.

If that’s true, it possibly explains the broken driver install. Just reinstall the Lexicon driver. If it has a “repair” option, you can try that instead.

Cubase is likely reading from an orphaned registry entry, left behind because the driver wasn’t fully uninstalled.

Actually i did erase a the files and settings and downloaded everything again as i use it for recording , thanks for responding , i also downloaded the driver , the cubase recognizes it in the audio setup , but but still says driver not running when i hit record

By “downloaded” do you mean “downloaded and then installed”?

If so, you’ll now have an entry in your Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Uninstall the driver from there, reboot, and then reinstall.

If not, then you will need to install what you downloaded.

I just looked up that device. There’s no Windows 8, 10, or 11 driver for it, so you’ll want to double-check that the Windows 7 64-bit driver install worked.

Looks like it requires a driver even on macOS, so this appears not to be a class-compliant device.
