Asio drivers, "Device could not be opened."

Hi, I opened cubase 10.5.20 and in the VST Audio System (Asio driver) I choose Yamaha Steinberg Thunderbolt. I then get a message that says “Device could not be opened.”
I have the latest AXR4T driver, and my computer says my thunderbolt AXR is connected. What could be the problem? Cubase doesn´t recognize the AXR4T it seems…

Anyway I hope somebody can help me, thanks!

Close anything that could use asio before opening cubase, including the control-panel for the AXR4T.

Make sure you have the latest driver (and TOOLS) update installed, please.

Hi, I have windows 10 PRO
I have bought a new computer with thunderbolt. At the same time I updated my cubase 10 and installed the Cubase 10.5.20
This morning when I try to open cubase it freezed. Should I reinstal Cubase again?

Hi,

Try to reinstall Cubase, please. Make sure you:

  • Download the Full Installer.
  • Unpack the ZIP file and install from the unzipped folder.
  • Install from the setup.exe.
  • Install as administrator.
  • Install to the system © drive.
