Assign expression maps through project logical editor

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to assign the expression maps through the project logical editor? Same for drum maps, but I don’t use them yet. Would be helpful when importing many MIDI tracks to automate the map assignments for each track as one can do with e.g. setting output/input.

Best,
Gabi

Hi,

Expression Maps are not reachable via Logical Editor.

Add the optional feature-request tag to your post, please.

ok, thanks and done.

Although the logical editor can’t control articulations in Expression Maps directly, you can select all notes of a specific range to then apply an articulation from the dropdown menu.

It only works, of course for articulations set as “attribute” in the EM.

I’m using BBC Discovery to sketch woodwinds and brasses in Beethoven’s 5th.

Here I selected all quarter notes and shorter to set as Staccato, then shortcut “ctrl+alt+i” to reverse select then set all longs as Legato in one go.

Although it’s an sketch, when you copy-paste this event to a better instrument, if it does have “Staccato” and “Legato” patches as well Cubase will smartly carry the pre set articulations in the expression map.

Maybe in future updates, for articulations set as “Directions” we might be able to acesse articulations from right-click context menu. I’m an enthusiastic user awaiting for updates in the Expression Map.
